Lecture Today!

The Classics Department invites you to attend a lecture by McKenzie Lewis today, Friday, October 14, 2011, at 3:30pm in NH 117. His talk, "The last of the Etruscans? The settlement at Cetamura del Chianti, Italy, during the early 'Roman' period," will be followed by a reception.

 McKenzie Lewis is a PhD candidate at Florida State University whose research focuses on Rome's colonization of Italy. He has worked as assistant site director at Cetamura del Chianti in Tuscany since 2007. His dissertation investigates Networks of Connectivity in North Etruria during the 1st Century B.C.E.

 Cetamura del Chianti is located in the heart of Tuscany, and is the site of UNC Asheville’s Archaeological Field School, Summer 2012
